This work responds to the ongoing seashore privatisation and land reclamation processes in the city of Manama, Bahrain. These processes have been accelerating over the last four decades, acting as a continuous imposition of a capitalist model of society over Manama's own sea-affected cultural and social environments. These infrastructural replacements consisted of shopping malls, elitist real estate projects, governmental bureaus and corporate offices.

The work consisted of a series of walks archiving a collective memory of the city enacted orally by many of its former and current residents, and a sound installation located in a shopping complex that exists near the original (pre-reclamation) seashore. The experience of the sound archive was shaped by data signals sent through a custom-made device that streams the sea waves' movement from the nearest accessible seashore. The installation offered a sea wave choreography of the archive which hides, reveals, inhales and exhales its content with every ebb and flow.
