Simultaneously a clock and an undoing of one, Intertelling is a clock form being overwritten by irrationality. It struggles to keep its functionality as an instrument for measurement and synchronisation as it interplays with its surrounding environment. It becomes subsumed by interdependencies, and come to be experienced through wondering and play. The hands of the clock are extended with archival affordances. They are replaced with ‘slits’ of pixels that display a scanned environment through an incorporated camera. In other words, it acts as a continuous slit-scan process driven by clock speeds. Meanwhile, the ‘universal time’ dissolves in its internal logic. What remains are traces of happenings and stimulus for new ones.
